About

SueMy name is Sue and I started decorating with balloons in 2000 and became a Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) in 2001. I spent my first year learning everything there is to know about different aspects of the balloon industry and attended a wide range of training courses covering everything balloon from the basic 3 balloon cluster to creating balloon people and exploding balloon walls. I soon found that people were contacting me from outside of my normal decorating area and I used to happily travel longer distances for fun events such as creating a balloon ceiling for a televised wedding and expolding balloons for a night club finale scene teaching someone to dance on “Queer Eye for a Straight Guy” . I was then asked to decorate the venue and create a collection of balloon people for each of the 5 (+ Lulu, Julian’s dog) for their end of season party.

Another great day was the opening of Tom Hart Dyke’s World Garden at Lullingstone Castle. It was the hottest day of the year and not ideal for spending hours in the sun inflating balloons for their “cut the ribbon” balloon release and creating balloon bears to live amongst the plants and foil shaped balloons in their relevant continent shaped areas in the world map. I think I must of suffered a bit of sunstroke as didn’t feel well enough to indulge in the wonderful spread that was laid on for everyone that attended the garden party and certainly wasn’t up to a glass of bubbly opting for the O.J. instead!

Then people started asking to buy flat balloons to inflate themselves and so I adapted my website to sell balloons on-line to cater for all the people who wanted to decorate their own events.

I spent several happy years decorating and attending wedding fayres getting to know all the other professionals that are required for the perfect wedding. Florists, bridal wear companies, cake makers, photographers, videographers, entertainers… and the list goes on. We found that more and more often couples were asking us to recommend someone that hired cars, created invitations etc, that some of us decided to get together to create a local band of wedding specialists to cover all aspects of planning the perfect wedding.

I had to give up decorating in 2010 due to ill health and thought that now was the perfect time to start helping everyone UK wide in making the planning of their event just that little bit easier! Happy Planning! Sue
